Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a safe celebration over the holiday season.
2021 has already been busy for me, and I have already started on changes that I had been thinking about for some time. I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, but I do use January to do some self-care and catch up on anything I didn’t get done in December.
Some new clothes and a new haircut were in order, so they got done first!
I will be moving this month, so very busy finding a new home, which is exciting and nerve racking at the same time. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon.
Feb will see me doing some exciting things with The Midnight garden – markets with my new friend/art project Ava, and physical creative workshops.
I am feeling very grateful to have made it through 2020, and to have plans for 2021 that will see me and my business grow, and be full of adventures!
I would love to know what your plans are for this year, what you dream of and what you are working towards.

Creativity in 2020
2020 has been a year of immense challenges, loss, uncertainty and anxiety for us all, to some degree. Living in Metro Melbourne (Victoria, Australia), we have just come out of a very severe lock-down that has been very tough. Remaining largely inside of your home, isolated from people (in some cases entirely), has had many...
Good luck with the move and all the best for 2021.
I’m taking January off to recover from last year and also Dylan just had major surgery so will be doing some caring. I’m exhausted.
My plans are the same as they always are every year, improve my art and be more art active (never happens though lol). I want to move away from fanart and nurture original concepts more. I’ve purchased several online art courses saved up for rainy days, hopefully I’ll finish them this year. As for shows, I’m still unsure. Supanova early bird applications close off next month but I’m not sure it might be too early in the year with the virus. Though I think I’ll still go for oz comic con in July. I’m hoping with the vaccine things will be settling down by then.
Though I do have plans for 2022 and they are my original 2020 plans, to do interstate conventions.
All the best.
Sounds like you have formulated some plans which are great, I hope you get some breathing room to move ahead.
Good luck with the new art projects, and yes I hope the vaccine makes pop culture conventions safe and enjoyable.
